From the day i have started yoga, I experienced a lot of drastic changes within myself. This inspired me to study more about yoga and its benefits. I found that yoga can provide a lot of benefits to your body, mind and health. Here are some the benefits of yoga, that can motivate you as well to practice yoga:

Increased flexibility
On the first day of your yoga, you may not be able to do much stretching from your body. But if you will perform yoga on a daily basis, you will start noticing gradual loosening, and eventually, all the poses will become possible. All the aches and pains from your body begin to disappear. Flexibility is the first benefit that yoga provides to our body.

Improves muscle strength
Our muscles should be strong enough to protect us from conditions like arthritis and back pain. And strong muscles look good too. Yoga makes our muscles strong with flexibility.

Perfects body posture
Poor body posture can lead to back, neck, and other muscle and joint problems. When you slump, your body may compensate by flattening the normal inward curves in your neck and lower back. This can cause pain in the spine. Yoga prevents all of these problems to get into your body.

Increases blood flow
The relaxation exercises you practice in yoga help to improve your blood circulation. Poses, such as Headstand, Handstand, and Shoulderstand, encourage venous blood from the legs and pelvis to flow back to the heart and then pumped to the lungs to be oxygenated. Yoga also boosts levels of haemoglobin and red blood cells, that carry oxygen to the tissues. It thins blood through making platelets less sticky and by cutting the level of clots in blood. This leads to a decreased level of heart attacks and heart strokes.

Makes you happier and helps you to lead a healthy life
Studies have found that regular yoga practice can improve depression and can make a person happy. At the University of Wisconsin, Richard Davidson, PhD, found that yoga increases levels of happiness and betters immune function. It also provides spiritual and mental peace to a person. A regular practice of yoga also gets you moving, and burns calories. And can also inspire you to become a more responsible eater. Remember when you start practising yoga on a daily basis, you have to maintain a much healthier and adequate diet.
